We've been working on the upstairs for quite awhile now. We have had some major progress in the past couple of months, which is very exciting. Sheetrock does wonders to making it feel like we are getting somewhere although we still have ALOT to do. We've painted the walls, currently painting the trim and doors (that are mostly hung now), and filling in the holes in the trim. Our favorite room by far is the room pictured below.

Royce tried to help but ended up sticking his nose in the paint instead.

At this point we are sick of painting...

Vacation

We went to Florida in March...the place we stayed was huge!! Jon was there on business and I was there to enjoy the pool. The view from our room overlooked the golf course. It was a short but fun trip.

Playing Catch up

It has been awhile since I have updated the blog...I apologize. We have been surviving the winter. We have been doing a few things over the past couple of months even though I am a self-described "hermit" during the winter. From visiting my parents, sibling dinner, and yes enjoying snow days (As much as I do not like the snow, living in Maine you have to learn to embrace it).

Royce gave "Royce rides" up and down the street and then we all went sledding down the stairs until SOMEONE went into a bush and bashed their face off the stairs. No worries it was just a small scrape and still well worth the fun that proceeded it!

One of the reasons we went north was for me and my siblings to celebrate our birthdays..yes all four of them. Each year instead of doing birthday gifts we put money into a "birthday fund" and then go out for a nice dinner at the end of the year. I personally LOVE this tradition and not only because I don't have to think of something to get everyone, but because it is a chance for just the four of us to hang out and catch up....this year was by far my favorite sibling dinner.

This was my surprise Valentine's Day gift that I got at work :) My favorite..... Lillies.

I had a random snow day (which never happens) and I had to tire Royce out in order to fulfill my dreams of having a lazy snow day. So, we went for an adventure through really deep snow in the woods behind our house. Royce wore his new backpack (with some water bottles as weight, for a good workout and to REALLY tire him out :) The snow was really deep so I got my work out too....and Royce slept on the couch for most of the rest of the day, which was well worth the snow adventure. I got my lazy snow day after all!

So what you were waiting for will not be posted, because it never happened. Sunday we were supposed to go to a Weight Pull Competition with Royce and we had some car issues, so you can stop waiting :(
